(2012) One night in October, I came back to my dorm room to see that my roommate had consumed the remaining amount of...Apple Juice. Not just any brand of apple juice, but Mott's Apple Juice.
This made me upset. For some reason, I felt disrespected that she drank the last of the Mott's Apple Juice. Becoming enraged I decided to do something about it. While she was asleep, I labeled the items in our room:
Color Coded......Each piece.....Including the curtains.
Took me 4 hours to do and it never clicked in my mind that this was unusual. The next morning I went about my day, like nothing was wrong. When I returned to my dorm room, the RA suggested I get evaluated. Initially I thought
he was being prejudice but I obliged because I did not see any wrongdoing. After that moment, I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder. Had he not suggested I speak to someone ... there is no telling where I would be today.
Speak Out because mental health is important.
Speak Out because you don’t how your story will help others.
Speak Out despite being worried about how others perceive you.
